This lesson is designed to teach Spanish color words to Kindergarten students. A daily routine is established which includes a song and games to reinforce Spanish words. Flash cards, rhythmic chants and I Spy are used to teach the colors. Repetition appears to be part of this plan. Inviting children to interact with color by moving (i.e. if you are wearing verde, stand up), would enhance this lesson and bring more engagement to young children. Employing all senses in the learning of second language would make Spanish more accessible.
