The definition of Fertile Crescent in this PPT presentation seems misleading. The Fertile Crescent is usually defined as constituting an arc of relatively well-watered or irrigable land extending from Lower Mesopotamia and adjacent hill country to the area that is today Israel. Some historians include Egypt as part of the Fertile Crescent but not the majority. I know of no historian who would describe the Indus River valley or Yellow River valley as Fertile Crescent civilizations. That would require a radically new definition. However, comparing all four of these river valley societies is a commendable idea.
