Animal Habitats (WebQuest) In this lesson, each student will be given the name of a specific animal. They will explore a WebQuest (created in PowerPoint) to learn about various habitats (desert, tundra, rainforest, forest, ocean) that will help determine where the animal would live and how this habitat meets the animal's needs (air, water, food, shelter).

This lesson plan was very thorough and professionally presented. It has many suggestions to alter, adapt or change in order to make it work for many different situations. One suggestion was to include a session writing a story of their animal in a writing software package or draw the animal in a graphic software. I particularly like the links to assist in helping the students with unrelated technology questions or issues. A suggestion to possibly enhance this particular lesson plan would be to use a presentation software (i.e. PowerPoint) allowing the students synthesis their information either in addition to the poster or instead of. The teacher prep times and suggestion are helpful in more than just this lesson plan in preparing for other webquests.
