This is a worksheet that can be used for an activity requiring students to match terms to definitions. This can either be a simple line drawing activity or a scissors and glue activity. The teacher must prepare by typing the terms and definitions into the squares. (That is why this is a Word document.)
This resource is part of the Vocabulary Study collection.
This resource was reviewed using the Curriki Review rubric and received an overall Curriki Review System rating of 2, as of 2009-07-20.
This oral review exercise is designed to be used as part of a vocabulary study unit or program. It references student-created flashcards which have the vocabulary word on one side and the definition on the other. In the Power Point presentation there is also mention of a call and response component to the review. Having written, visual, and oral components to this review can certainly increase students’ retention of the vocabulary words. The individual work and community participation are also assets. When linked to core concepts and key terms in your unit of study, this can be a powerful tool.
This resource received a 2* rating because it is part of Vocabulary Study, which received a rating of 2-Good in the Curriki Review System and which you can see here: http://www.curriki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Coll_Dharpine/VocabularyStudy
