Absolutely amazing video! Great job! Very interactive, engaging and entertaining. I loved the introduction--I actually want to know the ending of his story lol. Also, the imagery was awesome. The only critiques I can make is actually showing us how to create a digital story and telling us the downsides to digital storytelling. Other than that cool cool video. :)
I really enjoyed your video's hook because at first I was like "uhhh when is this going to begin?" but then it all made sense. The video overall was very professional and explained what digital storytelling is.
Even though the hook was great I thought the Mongolian story was a little too long of an intro, maybe cutting it a little bit shorter would have been better. Also, I would have liked to have seen an example of putting together a digital story. However, you guys did a great job! :)
Wow!! Excellent job, you guys! I really enjoyed watching your video. I loved how you used an actual example of digital storytelling and how the presentation itself actually was really similar to telling a digital story, with the music and pictures supplementing your information. A couple things you could do to improve would be to name different programs that you can use to create a digital story and to add more pictures rather than panning across the same picture for a longer period of time.
WOW! You two made a very inspirational video which is generally what digital storytelling is used to accomplish. I don't know how you two did it but the video looked extremely professional with the smooth and different transitions between the images and videos and I loved the clip of the trip to Mongolia because it reminded me of when I watched an "Invisible Children" video in my human geography class and cried! Two suggestions I would make is maybe add a demonstration video on how someone has made a video blog or uploaded it but that would be getting more technical and I know you guys just wanted to express the general idea about what digital storytelling is and also maybe add more pictures to show exactly what you were talking about instead of just the 4 pictures that were displayed.
I loved it! I was amazed at the difference between the piece of paper and Michael's story at the beginning. Good Job! I love how you two worked together!! Even with the awesome music in the background quicker pictures would have kept the attention of he viewers more. I know you guys got all the information in too, but the video was supposed to be closer to 7 minutes.
Hey Seth and Emilie, great video! No, for real, it was really good. Your video looked polished and professional for such an assignment with short amount of time given. I thought the strongest parts of the video were the actual digital story example and the incorporation of the questions you were answering throughout the video. Breaking the video down into sections kept my interest and focus. My only suggestions for improvement would be the adjust the flow in and out of the Mongolian story clip a little to transition back to your presentation a little more smoothly. You seemed to do this at the end, but not in the beginning. Also, if I had to make one more suggestion, maybe you could have given some classroom project ideas I guess. I think you did an excellent job!
Your video is seriously fantastic! I found your video entertaining and informative. I also really liked the epic music in the background. It definitely made the video feel like you were talking about something that is really important. Maybe it would have been better to not stay on each picture for so long...adding more pictures might have been a little better. It was difficult to come with any criticism so good work!
The hook in the beginning was great. You both communicated well together and brought life to the topic with your voices. One of the minor changes I would make is the timing of the sound with the pictures in the beginning. And also some slight editing to the volume levels when you are both talking after the intro.
Overall, an outstanding video, you made digital storytelling as interesting as it can be.
This video was FANTASTIC! I liked that you showed the contrast between a written story and then showed it in the digital format allowing us to make our own opinion about it rather than just telling us the difference. I also enjoyed the music and graphics that all flowed together nicely. A suggestion would be to demonstrate how to create one, using which program, website, etc. Another suggestion would be to shorten the script, at times it was really wordy. But overall, I loved it!
This video was really well done, very professional looking and engaging. I really liked the example you included at the beginning, but one of my suggestions is a better transition back to your project. More specific ideas about how it can be incorperated into classrooms or about tools to put a digital story together might also have been good additions, but overall great job!
I thought this was an outstanding video. I liked how you guys covered all the various aspect of digital storytelling. I like how specific you guys were with how digital story telling works. I dont think i have anything that I would change. It would be a little sound quality.
I absolutely love your video! It was engaging and really informative. As other comments state, I also think that the volume of both of your voices could have been adjusted better for the video.
This was a great video! It was incredibly well done and very entertaining, as well as informational. I really liked how you actually brought in a digital story as an example. I also thought it was great how you kept music in the background. My only suggestion would maybe be to explain how to actually make one because I don't know how to. Overall, awesome video!
You guys did an excellent job! The beginning was very engaging and the light music in the background throughout the video made your voices a lot more interesting. The video was very clear and well put together.
I really enjoyed your video. The introduction was amazing. Showing an actual digital story was a great idea. The graphics throughout the video also help to keep my attention. I truly enjoyed every aspect of the video. It was extremely difficult for me to find anything that could be better. If I would have to add a suggestion it would be to make the video a little shorter.
I thought this was well done and to the point! It conveyed all The necessary information that you could possibly need. There was a good balance between you talking and demonstrating. I honestly don't know what I would change.
This was an awesome video. I found the video to be VERY engaging and it was very well put together. I was very impressed by the way you presented the information. It was able to keep my attention the entire time and it was my favorite video so far. I wish I had a decent suggestion to make the video better but I honestly really enjoyed it and do not have a negative comment about it. WELL DONE!!!!
Your mix of music, image, and narration was neigh onto perfection. I would also say that the images you chose were wonderfully abstract yet very relevant to your discussion. I also specifically loved the music (it wasn't too distracting to keep me from listening to you, but it set me wonderfully at ease). Something I might suggest would be to significantly shorten the length of your intro video. It made me focus more on that story than on what I would be learning in the presentation. I might also suggest to intersperse the wonderful narration and music and video with something like a demonstration of a particular program of examples of it being used in the classroom.
I really enjoyed your 5x7 presentation. I really enjoyed the introduction and ending to your video. They were very engaging, and they really showed how effective digital storytelling can be. Your video was also very informative. I didn’t know much about digital storytelling beforehand, so I learned a lot from it.
One thing that could improve your video is a demonstration of digital storytelling. Demonstrating how exactly digital storytelling works would help the viewer understand it even more. Another thing that could improve your video is the use of more video clips. The pictures under your narrations were nice, but video clips would be even more engaging to the viewer.
This video was AMAZING! I was genuinely captivated by your beginning. Your presentation is clear, engaging, and informative. You clearly explained digital storytelling, and made me want to learn more about it. I honestly had to think hard about how to criticize your video, but I guess I would say that it was somewhat wordy at times. Maybe you could have added text slides to simplify what you were saying? Then maybe more about its educational implications. I really thought your video was great; I loved that you ended with the rest of the Mongolian video. Again, I had to think really hard about how to criticize your video. Really good job!
I thought this was a great video. I like how you started out with the story written out to make a point. I also thought you got a lot of useful information into your video about digital story telling. I liked that you used an example that had both pictures with voice overs and actual video footage, because there are multiple ways to use digital story telling. Two things I would have liked to seen were 1) a demonstration on how to actually put something like that together, and 2) while I did enjoy the story, I thought the example was a little long. Overall I think you did a wonderful job with the video!
