It explains the concept of the the distributive property. It also explains how to solve an equation by simplifying both sides of the equation by clearing out any parentheses, and then combining like terms. For example, if one side of an equation has an expression such as a(b + c), then you should simplify it by removing its parenthesis and changing it to ab + ac.
