I have students listen along to Robert F. Kennedy's speech while we read along in our textbooks. Students can identify SOAPS for the speech, as well as rhetorical devices like appeal to ethos, and parallel structure.SOAPS = Subject, Occasion, Audience, Purpose, Speaker.
