Like a bingo board, this two-page chart lists 14 different genres for students to read. With 2 spaces for "student choice" it makes a nice square number of books. It includes spaces for students to record title, author, and rating for each book. A second page, that I always printed on the back of the first, explains each genre, giving examples where needed, to help students find books. Differentiate assignments easily. You can flex the reading level, or the number of books to be read in a given time period. I used to offer my students a C if they read 4 books in a quarter, a B if they read 8 books, and an A if they completely filled the genre board. Our librarian liked it when students brought these genre boards with them.
