Cute beginning! I really liked the beginning clip of your video, as did most of our classmates. I also liked your coverage of Google. I thought your coverage was in-depth and hit many different aspects of Google. I liked that you took us through google on the computer screen, so we could see what you were doing. Just a few points of constructive criticism. I think the video could have been a bit more engaging and fun, playing off your beginning clip. I also think that your music at the end was great, but maybe it could have been streamed throughout. Just some thoughts. Good job :)
I thought the video was very informative-there was a lot of good information given. I also liked that they showed you where to go and what to click. I think a way to improve the video is by adding some "spice". Make it more fun!
I thought the beginning was a great hook to get your viewers engaged because it was pretty funny. The video had clear, easy to understand instructions which is great!
If you girls could have found a way to make it more engaging and better organize the material. Other than that great job! :)
I thoroughly enjoyed your beginning clip with the man beating up his computer; it made me laugh and provided comedic relief. You also did a really good job taking it step by step and showing how to use Google apps clearly. Some things to improve on include trying to cut out filler words (like um, which was said a lot). Also, when you mentioned where the technology was going, you used bullet points. I thought it was hard to read that much information in such a short period of time and it might be more effective if you read the bullet points along with showing them typed out. Good job you guys!
All in all, the video was very informational and taught me so many useful things I could use on Google Apps that could help me as a student such as the Calender which I really liked and the Google Scholar which I had no idea about. The video could use some real life examples of how teachers or students use presentations, drawings, spreadsheet, etc on Google Docs in the classroom but you guys had a lot of information and apps to go through so its okay:)
I love the beginning! It was an amazing attention getter, and , honestly, made me want to continue watching. It would have been nice to add some music in the background when both of you are talking, because it wasn't as fun as the beginning made it seem it would be. The end had some, why not the rest?? I really liked how you both showed the viewers how to fully work you Google areas. You cover the information needed, but it was hard to see the areas we were supposed to cover when they weren't organized exactly how they were told to be. I love it though!
Definitely got me hooked with the opening video! Nice job with that (nothings funnier than surveillance cameras getting classic reactions). Also, the video presented clear step by step instructions which was the ultimate point! A couple points of constructive criticism: I wish you had used the zoom up function to show what you were talking about sometimes when on webpages. I could barely read what you were clicking on most times. Also, maybe some music or something to break up the instruction. Nice Job all around though!
Hey Karlie and Brittney, nice video! I liked that you were able to cover a lot of material and give good explanations of some of the most used Google applications. I liked that you explained how the apps would be useful in the classroom, and also that you used screen shots to show exactly what the apps looked like and how to use them. The video at the beginning was funny and caught my attention, I would just try to tie it in better to the video- like using the theme of how Google apps could make your life less frustrating. Also, the music at the end was funny- I would have maybe liked to hear more music clips throughout the video, maybe not.
I thought the clip in the beginning was a great way to open the video. Your video provided a lot of useful information. You did a good job explaining how all of the apps work. The video feels a bit long so it could be good to add some little personal touch or music to recapture the attention of the audience throughout the video. You had a lot of information to cover in your video and I think you did a good job.
I really enjoyed the video. I thought it was very imformative and since it had so much information I was able to see how to use the different google sites. I am not very good with the computer so it was helpful to see how to use google docs. One thing that would help the 5x7 presentation would be to add some music or something to the video to make it a little more interesting.
I enjoyed your video! I thought the beginning was a great attention getter and really pulled me into the video! The explanations of the different functionality of google sites was very informative and in depth, making it easy for someone to use after watching your video.
One suggestion would be to use the zoom technique when clicking on some of the tabs in the applications to make it easier for the viewer to know exactly what you are clicking on. But overall, good job!
I liked how thorough you were, and how you used screencasting to actually show how to navigate the different apps. One suggestion is to cut out some of the how-to information about how to use email--something we're all familiar with by now--and go straight into how to set up an account and how educators can use it. The video was a little long, and that would have cut it down some. The video could also have been a more active, as there were times during description when nothing was happening.
I loved this video it was very informative and I felt like i can sign up right now with no probelms after watching your video. I like how you guys explain the educational purposes of google apps in detail. I dont really see anything wrong but because I have to say one thing it would be to make it have music.
The beginning of the video was an awesome attention grabber! I loved it! I also liked that you went through the steps of how the apps. I would suggest that the video could be a bit more engaging throughout and also perhaps to have the music throughout the clip.
I really like your video! I thought the video at the beginning was a great and entertaining way to begin it. You explained how to use Gmail and all of its features very well and in great detail. I think one way you could have improved would be to give more real life examples of how this could be used in the classroom and show this. Overall though, I think you did a great job!
This video was very informative. The opening scene was very funny, however, i think you lost your audience when you got into the actual content of the video. You should add a little more "spunk" to liven it up.
I thought this video was full of valueable information that would help someone with little knowledge about google apps figure it out. I like how you cover the main google apps and the most used ones I thought it could use some more engaging elements to it it got kinda boring four or five minutes in but very very informative.
The beginning and ending were great attention grabbers. The first video was a great segue into the functions of Gmail. You covered what seemed like everything I needed to know about Gmail and other google apps. I felt very well informed on each app and feel that this video would help me when I actually plan to use gmail on my tablet. Some constructive criticism would be to break up the instructions of the video a bit with other ideas or audio intrigues to keep the viewer more engaged. I would also suggest zooming in a little bit on what you were doing, and maybe focusing more on the affects of using google apps rather than on detailed steps in using them.
I really enjoyed your 5x7 presentation. Your video was very informative. You did an excellent job with explaining, with great detail, how each Google App works. I also thought you did a great job with Screenr. Your screencasts were clear and concise, and effectively demonstrated how to use each Google App.
One way your video could be improved is with graphics, music, etc. to keep the viewer engaged. While your video was very informative, it might be nice to add a few fun things in the video to keep the viewer focused and entertained. Another way your video could be improved is with a little more organization. For example, tell us what it is and how I works, and then tell us the educational implications for each App. That way, the information has a nicer flow and is easier for the viewer to follow.
Like everyone else, I LOVED the beginning video. So funny-- great attention grabber. I really liked how detailed you were about gmail. I use gmail all the time, and you taught me about some things I was unfamiliar with. I had no idea you could even make a presentation using gmail. Perhaps you could have shown different pictures at times; I got tired of looking at the same picture for most of the presentation. Maybe you could have zoomed in on some of the things you were doing. Someone who is unfamiliar with google/gmail, may have had a difficult time following you. However, as someone who is video-making illiterate, I have no idea how you would do that so I completely understand! Overall, really informative presentation.
