Students are asked to graph the horizontal line y=k and y=cos(x) on the same axes, and they're asked to find the intersection points on an interval. They're then asked to graph y=k and y=cos(2x) on the same interval. They are encouraged to think about the number of expected solutions on a given interval. In the final question, they are asked to choose the equation with the most solutions on a given interval.
