This lesson was created based on the Education for Sustainability Standard for the Dynamics of Systems and Change. A system is made up of at least two or more parts in an ever-changing relationship that forms a whole whose elements go together and change because they continually affect each other throughout time. In this unit, students will identify and comprehend the dynamic nature of complex systems and change over time. They will be able to apply the skills and notions of system dynamics and systems thinking in their present lives in order to help inform the choices that will affect their future in a positive way. By the end of this lesson students will take such concepts and learn the importance of goal-setting. They will set goals in order to become better writers and hopefully extend their knowledge and skills so that they might attempt to be better students, citizens, etc.
