This play is about J.R. Clifford's most famous case, Williams v. Board of Education (1898). Seven students are required to act out the play. It has been written as a Readers Theater piece, with the intention of all players using their scripts rather than memorizing the lines. This is an excellent tool to aid in your teaching of J.R. Clifford's monumental win with the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals concerning equal schooling opportunities for African American students in Coketon, WV. Please use the seating chart provided to set up the play properly.
