Estuarine crocodiles are also adapted to the seasonal changes of estuaries. In the rainy season, estuaries are flooded with freshwater. Crocodiles feed mostly on fish, crustaceans, and other aquatic reptiles. In the dry season, river input slows to a trickle and the estuary shrinks and becomes more salty. Crocodiles, which can go without food for up to a month, feed on more terrestrial animals like these ducks in Kakadu National Park, Australia.
