iOS app with the following features:

1) Scientific Calculator. Simple to grasp and easy to use, but powerful features are available when you need them. Available functions include the following:

• the usual arithmetic functions and exponentiation.

• square root, cube root, nth root, natural log, log base 10, log of arbitrary base, absolute value, factorial, permutations (nPr), combinations (nCr), modulus, random integer, bell curve, cumulative normal distribution, decimal to fraction.

2) Graphing. Capabilities:

• Graph up to four equations at once.

• Graphs are labeled.

• You can drag the graph or pinch to zoom in or out.

• Calculator can find roots and intersections.

• Graph in polar coordinates.

• Graph parametric equations

3) A unit converter. With a tap, you can enter the result of your conversion into the calculator. Currently converts different units of the following: acceleration, angle, area, density, distance, energy, force, mass, power, pressure, speed, temperature, time, and volume. Great for doing physics homework!

4) Constants for scientific calculations ~~ speed of light, strength of gravity at Earth's surface, etc. etc. etc. Tapping on a constant will insert it into your calculation ~~ i.e, you don't have to key in the value. Again, great for doing physics homework!

5) It can make a table of the values of any function you care to enter. You can choose the starting x value of the table, as well as how much x increases for each successive row.

With Geometry Pad you can create fundamental geometric shapes, explore and change their properties, and calculate metrics. The shapes are displayed on a scrollable and zoomable workbook with a rectangular coordinate system.

The following tools are built into the application:

- Point, angle, line, ray, segment, perpendicular bisector, tangent, triangle, quadrilateral, polygon, regular polygon, arc, sector, circle, ellipse, parabola, hyperbola.

- Tools to create medians, altitudes and bisectors in a triangle.

- Tools to create special triangles and quadrilaterals: right, isosceles, equilateral, square, rectangle, parallelogram and rhombus.

- Two additional ways to create an ellipse: by center, end of a major axis, and a point on the ellipse; by focus points, and a point on the ellipse.

- Compass tool to plot arcs with an easily adjustable center and radius.

- Pencil tool to draw freehand annotations.

- Text annotations and labels with mixed-in metrics such as length, angle, perimeter, equation, etc.

- Transformation tools: rotation, reflection, enlargement, translation.

- Create lines and triangles with predefined parameters such as equation of a line, and angles or sides of a triangle.

- Insert images into the document.

Each shape has a set of customizable properties such as color, width, background, etc. Shape metrics are automatically calculated and presented along with shape properties. Some of them are editable such as point location, line length, circe radius, etc.

This app is much more than a graphing calculator, the way a face-to-face conversation is more than a text message. Users of this app are immersed in a world of lines. As the user changes values in their equations, the lines move to instantly reflect those changes.

Since many lines may be graphed independently, the user can compare one line to another, to see and understand how changing this 2 or that -1 will be reflected graphically, and a "trace" feature allows the user to see the whole family of lines generated by changing a parameter.

All of the power of Apple's innovative user interface is put to work in this app, with the goal of increasing real understanding of linear relationships.

Bells and whistles include:

• Take pictures of graphs, which can then be texted or emailed anywhere

• Save your favorite graphs for re-use later

• Display a table of values to show the linear relationships numerically

• Show values either in decimal or fraction form

• Input decimal values directly, or let Slope Slider convert them from fractions

• In-depth help and readily available pop-up tips make sure you never get lost

Android download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jgundersen.android.factorsamurai&hl=en

Factor samurai is a great way to learn times tables. You play as the samurai whose sacred duty is to cut all the numbers down to their prime factors.

You will be thrown one number after the next, cut them up if they can be factored into smaller values, if not, if they are prime, do not cut them.

Prime numbers are numbers that cannot be divided into small whole numbers. Two, three, five, seven, eleven, and thirteen are all examples of prime numbers. Four is not prime because it can be broken down in the whole numbers two times two.

Factor Samurai will reinforce the arithmetic principles of multiplication and division by continually challenging the player to remember which numbers can be factored into smaller values, and which ones can't.

As the player slices numbers into factors, those factors can be broken down further, until they are split into their prime factors.
