Activity planning and implementation guide outline designed as a fully developed curricular lesson plan-equivalent for the learning exercises designed to increase student’s awareness of students around the world, our similarities and differences via a monthly face to face video/audio exchange. Depending on the countries, this can also allow students to apply their second language skills with native speaking students in the other country. Students can also continue communications on an ongoing basis via Moodle, an open source online collaborative learning environment (content.nortellearnit.org). Includes preparation steps for students, slides for the interactive exchange elements, and technical tips. Includes rubric. Created for the initial Nortel LearniT educational exchange in which bilingual Canada/US e-learning took place via videocast between English and French-speaking middle schoolers in April 2008, but designed to be a model for multidisciplinary, multigrade activities.
