In many schools across the country, teachers are required to teach certain texts based on a curriculum document created by their department or district. Often times, texts on this list stifle teacher's creativity, are mismatched for student's level of reading and understanding, or are just simply boring. This collection includes a variety of resources to help teachers evaluate the required reading policy, take steps to eliminate or make modifications to it, as well as lesson ideas for analyzing texts on a critical level.
