The separation of powers and responsibilities of the government as outlined by the Constitution. -Sasha-Kay MyersStudents will examine how power and responsibility are distributed, shared, and limited by the Constitution. In groups, students will create their own media outlet to depict the separation of powers as outlined by the Constitution. I will choose what section each group will work on based on their readiness levels. They will be expected to outline the powers and responsibilities of their branch. They will use the Constitution as a primary resource as well as other secondary sources as they see fit. They are also expected to use at least two other sources to develop their presentation and give an example of how their branch of government works. Students will be expected to present their media outlet to their peers.

Great lesson overall. I really like how you were able to incorporate technology into this lesson because it is easy to get repetitive with teaching this subject. However by having them create videos to depict the three branches of government is very helpful and allows the students to present the information in the way they learn and gather information. In addition the specific I can statements will most def. encourage the students to complete and do their best on the assignment.
