Getting emotional conflicts settled is part of teaching. This one page article is meant for settling conflicts between employees, but the process is the same that works with students and staff members. Not allowing students to say "I think..." or "I know..." is a big key. "Don't say I know she is trying to ..., just tell me what she does." This requires the student to reflect on what has been happening rather than emotional impacts. This tip like all others requires constant practice and self-review until you become a master.
