Learners will compile evidences of understanding, around the topics of light and color, as well as documentation in the form of visual and language arts in this unit journal portfolio.
The journal will reveal progressive or cumulative knowledge as well as corrections around areas of misunderstanding or "holes" in their knowledge base around the topics.
The journals will require continual reflections, evidence of vocabulary acquisition - terms common to both art and science, quality craftsmanship and demonstrate pride of workmanship.
Students will create a visual portfolio that demonstrates their understanding of the connections and linkages, between light and color.
Students learning will be assessed regularly and frequently to check for understanding and misconceptions about light and color.
