Common Core Algebra I. Two Way Frequency Tables. Part of an Algebra 1 course but suited for this Geometry unit.

A Youtube video by eMathInstruction. In this lesson you learn about categorical data and how it can be organized in two way frequency tables. Relative frequency terminology, including join, marginal and conditional is taught in context. Associations between categories is explored.

Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.

Reason abstractly and quantitatively.

Attend to precision.

Look for and make use of structure.

Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.

Construct and interpret two-way frequency tables of data when two categories are associated with each object being classified. Use the two-way table as a sample space to decide if events are independent and to approximate conditional probabilities.
