A video introducing you to Video Blogging!

The graphics shown on the video were extremely entertaining. Also I enjoyed the voice over. The energy and enthusiam made the video interesting. A suggestion would be to show an example of a video blog. I have never seen a video blog, and I would have like to see one in the video. Another suggestion would be showing how to start a video blog.
Really fun! Sylvia, I loved you as the narrator. Your voice was very engaging. I also really liked the variety of clips. I thought that you chose enough clips so that you didn't have to stay on one too long. By the way, I loved the clip of Taylor Swift. I'm a Taylor fan. Some points of constructive criticism: I would have liked to see maybe a few steps about how to go about creating a video blog. Also, although I really liked Sylvia as the narrator, I would have liked to hear Hannah somewhere in the video.
I thought it was pretty entertaining and I loved the comedy. The imagery used was pretty good and kept me engaged. I think a way to improve the video is by actually showing the audience of video blog; I still do not know what one looks like.
Like everyone who has commented already, I would have to agree that the pictures were great, they depicted exactly what you were talking about. The voice over was also very engaging, full of energy and sometimes funny.
However, I would have liked to have seen how to make a video blog and at which sites you can make one. Also, I found the video to be too short, I would have preferred it to be a little longer. Good job! :)
I think you did a really good job of picking visuals to match your voiceovers, and you definitely kept it entertaining. Although I know you were trying to make the presentation exciting, the sometimes sarcastic voiceovers occasionally distracted me from the content of what you were saying. Also, it would be helpful to show how to make a video blog.
SHABAAMM! Haha I really enjoyed the video because it was funny and entertaining as you guys really sold the idea and even made me consider making my own video blog. But how would I even go about making one? It would've really helped if you showed the audience how to make their own video blog and post it on a social networking/blogging site. I would've liked to see an example of a teacher using a video blog in the classroom through an educational site.
I really loved the images that follow Sylvia's voice throughout the video. The voice was really a great way to gain attention at first, but after a while I felt it was a little too much. It didn't change at all except the images. The points you made about the student;s who didn't really enjoy talking in class having an option and having an opportunity to see other students around the world was amazing! I just wish the video was longer, 3.18, wasn't it supposed to be closer to 7min?
I thought this was really funny! Whoever was doing the voice over narration was the opposite of the teacher from Charlie Brown, so entertaining! Tonation of the voice kept me easily engaged. I also really liked the examples you used for noise, still photos, and videos, each hit me with another pleasant emotion: excitement, mushy-heartedness, and laughter, respectively. A couple points of constructive criticism: The voice over almost was too sporadic at times, I found my self listening to the fluctuations in tones and barely paying attention to or learning from what she was saying. Also, it would have been nice to have some instruction on how to make a video blog; sounds super cool but can I do it for free? And is so where?
Nice video Hannah and Sylvia! I liked your enthusiasm, and your video made me laugh. I also liked the dog and cat picture and the picture of Sylvia (?) on the moon. While your video may not be the most technical or comprehensive, being funny kind of makes up for it in some ways. However, I would have liked for you to explain how video blogging is different from just posting a YouTube video, and I would have liked to see a screen shot of a video blog example (maybe there was one, I'm not sure).
I really liked your video. Your enthusiastic voiceover was entertaining, the pictures coordinated well, and it was an informative video.Although, I think it would have been good to have included an example of a video blog. Maybe you could have demonstrated what one looked like and the different ways you can make one.
This video was very entertaining. The use of comedy was a major plus and a strong hook. Additional the presentation was very concise and well-stated. The first thing I would consider changing is to add a short example of a video blog. Perhaps you could have done a vlog within a video about vlog that talks about vlogging (more comedy). Another thing I would consider modifying is the number of images and the use of effects. Most of the images were funny and added something but some felt strange and had lettering out of focus. Overall, the project came together well and I became more interested in video blogging.
I thought this was a very informative video. It was entertaining and I liked all the pictures that were shown. It kept my attention throughout the whole video. It would have been nice to see an example of video blogging. The pictures were nice and easy to follow but to take it one step farther an actual video blog would have been nice to see. Otherwise great job!
I enjoyed watching your video. I thought that the voice over was very enthusiastic and engaging! I think that the variety of pictures shown was funny, as well as the speed in which they were shown was just right. The examples of how to use video blogging in the classroom were also well done.
I think an improvement that could be made is showing an actual creation of a video blog or examples of some that have already been done. I think by doing so the audience would better understand the difference between posting Youtube videos and video blogging.
The video was entertaining and covered all the points well. I liked the layout too. One suggetion would be to adjust the pictures and graphics to better fit within the video, as some got cropped out. Another suggestion would be to actually show how to make a video blog with one of the websites, giving a demonstration of how it works.
I really like how you guys were engaged during the video. I got to see the use of video blogging just by the different pictures you guys illustrated throughout the video. However, I think a way to make this video better would be to show a video blog.
I think your video was very engaging and you showed a great amount of enthusiasm! I liked the comedic pictures shown, which added some fun to the video. I also thought it was educational how you explained the many different things it is used for. I wish I had heard both of you explain the video because I only heard one person. I also would have liked to actually see how a video blog is made, so that I would know how to do it.
The video was good, the voice over was great, like everyone else said it would have been better if you included video blogging. I liked how you compared it to the traditional way of doing things.
I loved this video! The narrator was very engaging and the pictures were cool. I enjoyed watching this video from start to finish.
I really enjoyed this 5x7 and my favorite part was how engaging it was. Video blogging doesnt sound too exciting but you definitely made it sound interesting. I thought that incorporating pictures and voice overs was a good implementation into the video as well. I think it could have used a how to as well though maybe how to start one one or how to do one without knowing at all.
Great job on your 5x7. It was informative and very engaging. I really love the pictures and videos in your blog, they were diverse and entertaining and very pertinent to what you were saying. They also provided a good background and reinforcement for your narration. I also felt that the narration was very entertaining and kept me focused on the material. The tones and fluctuation of your voice were funny and clear.
Possible Points of Improvement: The voice over was so continuous that I found myself a little confused at times about which aspect of video blogging we were talking about, so I would suggest spacing the narration so that there are intervals of talking and silence or another audio affect. I would also say that an example of a video blog would have been helpful to the audience or possibly an example site where one could video blog, maybe even a demonstration of making a video blog.
I really enjoyed your 5x7 presentation. One thing I really liked about your video was the voiceovers. I thought that your voice was very engergetic and entertaining. It kept me engaged throughout the video. I also liked the pictures you used throughout your video. They were very entertaining and effectively illustrated the points that you made.
One way your video could be improved is with a demonstration of how video blogging actually works. You discussed its features, how it’s used, etc., but maybe it would be even more informative if you two actually made an example of a video blog yourselves. Another way your video could be improved is with some video clips. While the pictures were nice and entertaining, video clips could engage and entertain the viewer even more.
Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm sorry we did not explain how to create a video blog... to be honest I didn't even think of that until seeing everyone's videos! I'm kicking myself in the butt right now; kind of silly on our part. But thank you for your advice and sorry about that!
Hi Hannah and Sylvia!! I really enjoyed your video. You sounded excited about the material you were sharing, and I think that makes it more entertaining. I also thought you gave solid support for video blogging to be used for educational purposes. It would have been nice if you showed a website for video blogging, or talked about where people are uploading their videos. Also, It may have been a good idea to show a video blog of some sort for at least a couple seconds, since that is what the video was about. Overall, I think you did a great job!
