Michael A. Keller


Member, Board of Directors
Perhaps best known for his distinctively entrepreneurial style of librarianship, Michael A. Keller will help drive Curriki's mission of helping bridge the Education Divide.

Keller is currently Stanford University’s Ida M. Green University Librarian, Director of Academic Information Resources, Publisher of HighWire Press, and Publisher of the Stanford University Press. Earlier in his career, Keller served as advisor, consultant, and committee member to the American Association for the Advancement of Science and other scholarly societies. In 1995 he established the HighWire Press as an enterprise within the Stanford University Libraries to provide online co-publishing services initially to three scholarly journals.

Keller is a frequent speaker at high-technologyand scholarly gatherings around the world. In addition to consulting work, he serves on the boards of several organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, including the Long Now Foundation, Digital Library Federation and the World Economic Forum.

Keller holds a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Music from Hamilton College, received a Master of Arts in Musicology from SUNY Buffalo, a Master of Library Science from SUNY Geneseo and a Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology from SUNY Buffalo.
