Maternal and Newborn Health: A Global Challenge (A High School Unit)
Description:This unit was designed to help students understand the great disparity in trends and levels of maternal and newborn health around the world. Focusing on Asia and Africa, students will examine direct and indirect causes of maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity, as well as the actions that must be taken to save lives. Stressing the importance of both national and international partnerships, the guide helps students to see the need for a global call to action.
