Description:This unit contains a series of 4 labs investigating the different properties of four different liquids - water, alcohol, corn syrup and soap. At the conclusion of the individual labs, students will work cooperatively to design their own experiments in the Paper Towel Challenge.
The real focus here is on the scientific process, even more than the content.

Final conclusions must be based on and supported by data involving absorbency, strength, cost effectiveness. In addition, each student is responsible for a post-evaluation and paper towel advertisement at the conclusion of the challenge.
