Curriki.org is optimized for use in the Firefox (version 3.0) browser for Mac and PC.
Curriki tests the site’s performance in these browsers as well:
Note for Mac Users: There are a couple of known browser-based bugs for Macs. For instance, if you want to use the WYSIWYG editor, be sure you are using Firefox because there are problems in Safari. Often switching browsers will solve the problems that Mac users experience.
The best screen resolution for using Curriki is 1024 x 768.
If you wish to add content to the Curriki repository or edit collections, you will need to enable pop-ups for Curriki.org. This option is usually available from the Tools, Options, or Preferences menu of your browser.
Javascript (JS) must be enabled for certain areas of the site to work properly. This website has step-by-step instructions to enable Javascript for different browsers: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/howtoscript.
If you plan on printing many of the resources from the repository, you may wish to check that background images are set to print. (The default for most browsers is that they will not.) Commands to do this are different in each browser, but should either be available in Page Setup or from the Options/Preferences menu.
To take advantage of several Curriki features, you should have the free Flash Player enabled. To view videos using the player displayed on Curriki pages for video resources, you will need Flash version 9.x or higher.
