This is a very comprehensive collection of high school chemistry resources contains a wide variety of activities on important topics such as nomenclature, lab safety, chemical reactions, atomic structure, bonding and more. This collection begins with a great chemistry diagnostic pre-test that can provide valuable information to teachers at the start of instruction. There are worksheets, projects, notes, PowerPoint presentations, and lab activities throughout each section of the collection. Many of these activities could even be adapted for use at lower grade levels.
Many sections of this unit (including the diagnostic) would benefit from answer keys and a few files that are uploaded and read as an “unknown binary file.” Overall, the collection would benefit from a suggested timeline and more thorough descriptions and objectives for each section. However, every chemistry teacher will find useful pieces in this collection that can be immediately useful in his or her own classroom.
