Summer Time!
Summer is a month away, which means it is high time to start thinking about June, July and August. As you make plans for the coming months, here are a few suggestions:
P.S.
- Learn how to integrate 21st century technologies into your classroom—Curriki partner Nortel LearniT has put together a wonderful and free technology professional development program for teachers called 21st Century e-Teacher. The program consists of three online courses titled, “Lesson Planning and Collaborative tools,” “21st Century Tech Skills,” and “Practical Applications”. To learn more about the online program, watch this video.
- Connect with other teachers from around the world—Are you a member of a book club? Interested in connecting with other teachers about topics such as architecture and enquiry-based learning? Why not join or create a Curriki group? Using Curriki’s collaboration tools, you can send messages, share curriculum and ideas and meet new people.
- Share your knowledge—The summer is a nice time to reflect on your teaching practices and share your ideas with others. We welcome you to share your ideas, lessons, WebQuests, simulations and units with the world. By contributing your content to Curriki, you will not only build an online teaching portfolio to carry with you from school to school, but you will also help thousands of students and teachers learn and benefit from your knowledge and expertise!
