National Digital Learning Resource Network – Transforming Teaching and Learning
Interactive multimedia digital curriculum resources from Australia’s national collection are designed to engage and motivate student learning. These highly-engaging resources are pedagogically sound and provide opportunity for multi-modal learning not normally possible in the standard classroom. They challenge students to question, investigate, analyse and solve problems, as well as reflect on their learning. These flexible resources are highly valued by teachers and adaptable to meet the needs of a diverse range of students. A showcase of selected interactive multimedia digital curriculum resources is available to the Curriki community. An initiative of the Governments of Australia and delivered by Education Services Australia, the National Digital Learning Resource Network (previously The Le@rning Federation) is responsible for managing Australia’s national digital curriculum resource collection and associated infrastructure and standards. Through its work it has encouraged and supported Australian schools to embrace 21st-century education. As well as specifically-developed interactive multimedia learning objects, the national collection of digital curriculum resources comprises, images, film and sound clips licensed from Australia’s leading cultural and scientific organisations, and resources to support teachers, including assessment resources, units of work, teacher ideas, and collections of resources based around specific curriculum areas.The online curriculum resources developed by Education Services Australia content are based on current research findings in science education and pedagogy. They foster scientific inquiry, data interpretation, analysis and synthesis skills that are transferable to daily life and to offline learning opportunities.
The online curriculum resources developed by Education Services Australia are designed to produce high-quality digital learning resources and online tools to help students in years P–10 learn Chinese.
The learning objects employ a variety of rich contexts, which include interactive narrative structures and ‘game play’ devices to promote engagement for a diverse range of students.
