Open Architecture Challenge

Open Architecture Challenge

You know what makes a classroom work. We're inviting your class to design the classroom of the future.

Welcome

Teach science, math, and art with your school building!
This curriculum is for teachers who are interested in introducing architecture and design to their science, art, or math class. The curriculum includes lesson plans that will introduce architecture, responsible (socially and ecologically) design, 3-D computer modeling tools used for graphic representation and physical modeling using recycled materials.

Get your school involved and make your voice heard!
As a companion to the curriculum,
Architecture for Humanity is hosting a design competition which will tackle the health, environmental and performance concerns associated with today's classroom. The 2009 Open Architecture Challenge invites you to partner with architects in your community to design better, greener classroom for our schools.
