About Group Curriculum
The best place to start in order to understand what iDiscover is all about, and learn whether iDiscover is a project you would be interested in executing yourself, is the What is iDiscover? collection. This contains descriptions of various iDiscover weeks. The other folders are intended to provide you with the tools we have used to develop iDiscover or enquiry based learning at Crosshall. They include:
- An initial Account of Practice (background to our work) which describes some of the building blocks we put in place before undertaking iDiscover;
- Descriptions of iDiscover weeks in different year groups;
- A "How To" guide with advice on implementing this approach;
- Preparatory work undertaken with the children before iDiscover was initiated, enabling the children to maximum use of the opportunity;
- Examples of children's work;
- Evaluations & tools for evaluation

This describes a visit to Crosshall Junior School undertaken by the UK Innovation Unit, a group dedicated to fostering educational innovation throughout Britain.
The document sets out the elements of teaching practice that the Innovation team found were particularly noteworthy. It also includes interviews with teachers and a parent.
