Khan Academy Math Group

Welcome to the Curriki Khan Academy Group.

Here you will have access to the wonderful math instruction videos created by Salman Khan of the Khan Academy.

The videos cover almost every math subject taught in elementary or secondary school, including Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra I, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Probability, and Statistics. Within each subject are dozens of 10-20 minute videos.

Teachers and students can watch these videos on their computers at school, because unlike YouTube, Curriki is not blocked at most schools.

This group will organize, extended and build a community of practice around this content and in partnership with Mr. Khan. The content in the group is open and free, but the group is restricted to those educators who are interested in helping the Khan Academy grow by giving editorial input and contributing related content that will build upon topics and themes in these videos.

Please consider joining this group to help us achieve the following goals:

• Identify a content editor for each state to drive the alignment of these videos lessons to each of the states learning standards and benchmarks. This will help teachers in your state find and use these great resrouce just when they are needed most!
• Add worksheets, activities and lesson plan that reinforce and extend the instruction in the video resrouce produced by Mr. Khan.
• Provide a forum for educators to collaborate and share instructional ideas with Mr. Khan and to help him focus his work on the most valuable areas of need.
