KCI MERIT Mission Statement

Create a comprehensive educational technology enriched and collaborative professional development experience for teachers that integrates curriculum content, technology tools, and best practices for teaching and learning that positively impacts student achievement throughout a school site or district.

MERIT Program Goals

  1. Prepare teachers to design instruction that integrates technology to create student learning experiences that insure lasting student learning.
  2. Encourage teachers to form lifelong professional learning communities that promote ongoing innovation, collaboration, and support.
  3. Inspire and empower teachers to become agents of systemic educational change at their school sites and districts.
