VACTE Exchange Team
VA-CTE Exchange Teams are responsible for fostering and promoting Career and Technical Education in Virginia through educational programming and networking events that enable Coordinators, Teachers, and supporters of CTE to gather and exchange ideas. The goal is to build our online learning and sharing community through Curriki. This group will bring their knowledge together in an open-source environment allowing us to enhance the value of the content through the power of social networking where users make comments, edit, and group content to be shared. Developing a collection of Best Practices for recruiting and retaining CTE students will be the first phase in this process.

Welcome to our VA CTE Exchange Team!
This is an exciting new adventure into the world of open-source Professional Development. The goal of this project is to create a platform for sharing and developing "Best Practices" for recruiting and retaining students in CTE career paths. Our Team will work together to develop objectives to accomplish this goal. The Smyth Career and Technical Center will host the first Exchange Team meeting on Friday, April 18th. This meeting of the Southwestern Virginia counties will:* Introduce the VA CTE Exchange Team concept
* Provide an overview of the Curriki platform
* Present an overview of projects across Virginia
* Open discussion of issues, concerns, and needs of the group members
