About Standards on Curriki

Curriki's Standards feature is the first-of-its kind K-12 open source correlation engine. Resources on Curriki can be aligned to state standards for the four core subjects and technology for all fifty of the United States plus Washington, D.C.

Are the standards up-to-date?

The data supporting this system is provided by Curriki's partner, Academic Benchmarks. Using the data supplied by Academic Benchmarks, Curriki will check for and apply required updates to standards documents quarterly.

Where can I find standards alignments for resources?

When you look at a resource, you'll notice there are now four tabs: Content, Information, Standards, and Comments. Click the Standards tab to view or edit any existing alignments, or to add new ones.

How can I add or edit alignments for my state, grade, or subject?

If you are a logged-in member and viewing either your own contributions (or your group's), or another member's or group's contributions that have Access Privileges of Public or Protected, you'll see links to "Align to Standards" or "Edit Alignments" at the top of the Standards tab. Click a link to get started. Keep in mind that when you make a new alignment or edit an old one, a change is recorded in the Alignment History, which you can also access from the top of the Standards tab.

Visit the Standards section in Help for detailed, step-by-step instructions. A video tutorial is coming soon!

Strengthening the Curriki Community by Aligning Resources

Members, please consider aligning resources based on your subject matter expertise. When you find a resource you think is useful and valuable, go to the Standards tab for that resource and add alignments for your state, subject, and grade.

Members can also contribute their own resources, then add alignments using the Standards tab.

Anyone can volunteer or donate to support Curriki's editorial alignment efforts.

Sample Alignments

Since this feature is so new, it will take time for the member community to fully populate alignments for the thousands of resources in the Curriki repository. Following are a few samples aligned to standards for California and Florida; clicking one of these links will take you to the resource's Standards tab.

Or, start your own correlations today!

How do I find resources that are already aligned to my standards?

Curriki has added the "Browse Resources by Standard" feature so you will be able to access any resources that have been aligned to your state's standards in your subject(s) and grade(s) of interest.

You can find the "Browse Resources by Standard" link in the left navigation menu, under the Find section.
