This podcast by a young boy interviews author Dan Gutman. The author talks about his path to becoming a reader and a writer.encouraging kids to read and write along the way. This interesting video is well produced, highly informational and introduces us to a successful children’s author.

	The Real Sponge Bob
This activity is intended for 3rd and 4th grade students as part of their science and writing classes. The overall idea is potentially very engaging for this age group – students will become SpongeBob’s “party planner.” Using the characters of the SpongeBob show, students will research closely related animals using the provided links. As a final product, students will use TikaTok.com to create a book.
