    Lis Kroeker has been working in the educational system for 24 years. She holds a Bachelors in Education (Special Education/Psychology) from UBC, a Post Baccaulerate Diploma in Education from SFU, and a Masters of Education (Counselling Psychology) from SFU. Her experience covers classroom teaching, working with students with special needs in and outside of the traditional classrooms, supporting students with troubling behaviours, working as a school counselor at the elementary and middle school levels, and working as a district resource teacher for the Burnaby School, the Nanaimo, and the Qualicum/Parksville school districts. She teaches Special Education courses at the post -secondary level, and is coordinating the Teacher Post Degree Diploma in Special Education at Vancouver Island University. Lis recently completed an internship with Dr. Gordon Neufeld, a developmental psychologist based in the Vancouver area. Working from an attachment based developmental perspective, Lis works with families, children and teachers helping them to find ways to support growth and development.
