Remember that AI tools keep a training history of your conversations and prompts. In district-provided and controlled AI tools, administrators may be able to view chat histories, which means personal conversations are not private. For this reason, you should never use a work AI account for personal questions. On the flip side, using a personal AI account for school work can also be problematic: those tools may “remember” past, unrelated conversations and use that context when responding to work-related requests, which can influence results in unintended ways. To protect privacy, accuracy, and professionalism, always use the right AI account for the right purpose and never paste sensitive information, student data, or internal school content into any AI tool.
