Reviewer Comments:

This activity has students calculate a salary based on the amount of a traffic ticket in Finland. Traffic tickets in Finland are based not only on the event but also on the income of the offender. Students will use information provided to discover the linear equation for calculating the fine. Then using this information students work backwards to determine the annual salary. The link to the fine calculator uses Euros, so students may need to convert to better understand the answers. This activity is engaging and interesting.
