Reviewer Comments:

This lesson is part of a larger resource on the Depression. Its objectives are: to teach students how to differentiate between internal and external conflict and; to differentiate between conflicts - human versus human, human versus nature, and human versus self conflicts. Students are asked to journal and make connections. The lesson includes direct instruction, which offers definitions and examples, some guided practice, which gives the students several opportunities to practice and really understand the different kinds of conflicts. The lesson offers guidance for independent practice and differentiated instruction for various levels of students. Attachments are included in the “parent” lesson, http://www.curriki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Coll_ChelseaKNilsson/TheGreatDepressionUnit.
