This resource is an in-depth examination of US foreign policy. Students examine key examples of US foreign policy including the Spanish-American War and the building of the Panama Canal in order gain a greater understanding of imperialism and intervention. The lesson includes clear procedures, standards, essential questions, and all of the necessary materials to implement the lesson. The culminating activity provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned through the creation of a public service announcement. The resources could be used as is or adapted to other examples of US foreign policy.
