Reviewer Comments:

This resource appears to be a kind of syllabus or “framework for designing technology infused classroom activities and a shared language for teachers.” The document clearly defines characteristics of leaders and invites groups to interact around leadership qualities and podcasting. Standards about communication and interviewing are cited. Students are assigned homework which includes interviewing someone using iTalk or another device. Students are then asked to use Garage Bank techniques, iPhoto and other technology which will culminate in the production of a podcast. “Students will use Garage Band to create a podcast based on one quality of a leader. This unit requires high school leadership students to examine positive leadership qualities and to define leadership in their own words.” However, there is no direction on the technical end of how to create the podcasts. Direct instruction in technology design and production would complete this resource.
