Reviewer Comments:

This is a simple, but fun way to engage students in assessing their knowledge of reading large numbers. It is targeted for 4th grade students, but the essence of the activity could be used for smaller or larger numbers. Directions could be more clear about how to access text edit on a Mac. If you don’t know, click the blue spotlight key in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Then type in text edit and you will find it.

This is a creative and engaging way for 4th graders to practice place value and reading large numbers correctly. My students are pretty good with arithmetic, but have a lot of trouble with saying the actual "big" number. Decimals give them even more problems! Thanks for posting.
