The Gardener's Dilemma is a 4-week project based learning activity in which students focus on area and perimeter while designing a garden plot for a family. Students will work in small groups. Each group is assigned a family with specific garden request. Using online or other media resources, students plan the garden space according to the families requests and plant requirements. The resource provides all necessary instructions, handouts, quizzes, and rubrics. Students will work collaboratively and present final projects. This activity is well written, very complete and could easily be used in a classroom setting.
