A large collection of valuable resources for teaching about the death penalty. Highlights of the collection include interactive maps, an article on the cost of the death penalty, a fact sheet on the death penalty, and an article on America’s views of the death penalty. While there are no lesson plans accompanying these resources, there are a variety of activities that could be done to effectively integrate the resources into the curriculum. For example, students could learn about the major issues surrounding the death penalty and then participate in a debate or students could put together a powerpoint presentation highlighting key topics.

The Crisis of Credit Visualized video was very useful in explaining the events that led up to the Credit Crash. I would use it in conjunction with lecture or class work that would establish a working vocabulary of the important terms and phrases used in the video. The presentation would appeal to visual learners and help other who observe the flowchart display the interconnected actions and results. It was long enough to cover the topic and short enough to keep the student’s attention. Being accessible online allows for an interested student to watch the video at his or her leisure or need.
