This lesson provides a detailed activity in analyzing the contrasting tones in two of Mark Antony’s major speeches in Julius Caesar. The lesson is presented with a warm up, guiding questions and predictions, partner work and individual work, and results in the student completing a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between the two important speeches that Antony gives in Act 3 Scene 1. The student is also asked to cite evidence from the text supporting his or conclusions.
