Reviewer Comments:

As juts one resource in a large folder of class activities and projects, this activity is framed as an archaeological exploration of ancient mummies. The directions for this activity are laid out in a clear, step-by-step manner. Working in groups, students are tasked with 3 specific objectives: 1) research and construct pyramids; 2) research pharaohs and create a PowerPoint presentation; 3) research and then create a brochure on the mummification process. This is a creative, fun way to explore Ancient Egypt. It would be helpful to have specific activities assigned for each group member to ensure accountability. A few critical components are currently missing from this activity, most notably a list of appropriate websites to guide the webquest and rubrics for each task. Teachers will have to create their own to make this activity successful. CRT recommends including criteria for group work on the rubric and providing examples of each of the projects.
