Description:

This activity from Annenberg Learner Interactives helps students understand how physics laws affect the design of roller coasters, bumper cars, carousels, free fall rides, and pendulum rides. A highlight of the site is the opportunity to design a roller coaster and experiment with bumper car collisions. Annenberg Learner develops multimedia resources designed to help teachers integrate technology in the classroom and enhance student engagement. Resources include an extensive set of educational videos, interactive tutorials that supplement the videos, teacher workshops and courses, and distance learning.
