Full Course


This course has been designed to present astronomy and space science within a Canadian context. Unique phenomenon and astronomical events particular to Canada's northern latitude are highlighted and discussed. The course is divided into ten Unit modules. These are: The Night Sky; Planets and Orbits; Tools of the Astronomer; Earth, Moon, and Sun; Earth's Atmosphere; The Sun as a Star; Space Flight; Galaxies; Cosmology; Canadian Astronomy. Each Unit contains various self-directed Lessons designed to present the specific topics. Select multimedia elements and hands-on "try it" activities have been included to help augment the content.
