Description:

This web page is an interactive physics simulation on adiabatic expansion of an ideal gas. The page displays a simulation of gas particles in a container, and a pressure versus volume diagram. The user can choose to let the container expand adiabatically, and see how this affects the diagram. Work done by the expansion is also graphed. This is part of a collection of similar simulation-based student activities.
