Curriki’s Curated Standards-Aligned Civics Course.
This collection includes eight units that cover the major content for a high school civics course. These curated resources will enable educators, parents, and students to quickly and easily find vetted materials that map to standards and learning objectives. All collections are available free to educators, students, and parents. The resources are aligned to the College, Career, and Civic Life C3 Framework for Social Studies State Standards.
In the spirit of OERs, Curriki encourages educators and districts to adapt the materials to meet their own needs. The collection is designed to accommodate many different students’ learning styles and levels of comprehension. Each unit includes a suggested unit plan and recommendations for enrichment, ELD support, and flipped classrooms. The materials are sourced from a variety of websites and organizations including the Bill of Rights Institute, iCivics, Crash Course, Ted-Ed, the Library of Congress, the National Constitution Center, and Street Law.

Student Poll Worker Program helps eligible high school students to serve as poll workers on Election Day. Student poll workers learn firsthand how elections are run and provide much needed support at polling place locations. They end their day with a better understanding of the importance of voting and the vital role poll workers play in making our elections run smoothly.

12 Angry Men is a 1958 film about a jury trial in which a jury holdout attempts to prevent a miscarriage of justice by forcing his colleagues to reconsider the evidence.
Thirteen Daysis a 2000 film about how the Kennedy administration struggles to contain the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Frost-Nixon is a 2008 film that covers the retelling of the post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and former president Richard Nixon.

Dead Man Walking is a 1995 film about the death penalty and the complicated issues around its use.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services offers lesson plans with instructions and teaching strategies for novice and seasoned ESL instructors preparing students for U.S. citizenship. Lessons include content on American Government, American History, and Integrated Civics covered in the Civics Test as well as language needed for the reading and writing portions of the English Test.
